I'm Kathryn. I'm a 12 year old girl. I live in Tokyo, Japan although I'm British. Cathy Cassidy is one of my many favourite authors. Even though she has written only 6 books unlike authors like Jacqueline Wilson, each one is unique and the story is different, while having certain similarities. I hope anyone who reads Scarlett enjoys it.
Here's my review of the book
Scarlett
by Cathy Cassidy.
What this book is about:
Scarlett was a perfectly normal, happy 10 year old girl. But her dad changed all that. By leaving her mum and her and going off with some other woman and her daughter to Ireland, he tore Scarlett's world apart. Scarlett never ever wants to see him again. However, when Scarlett is expelled from her 4th school things change. No matter how much a fight she puts up, Scarlett's mum is not giving up. Scarlett is sent off to stay with her dad in the middle of nowhere, Ireland. She doesn't fit in and she can tell no one even wants her there. But when she meets Kian at the loch, things seem magical all of a sudden. Suddenly the days don't seem so boring. Suddenly it feels like Ireland might actually be fun. But Scarlett is still getting into scrapes. How long can it last?
What I think about this book:
This book was the first one I read by Cathy Cassidy. It's amazingly magical but at the same time realistic. I would recommend it to any girl.
Where I got this book from:
I borrowed it from a friend and then later I ordered it from Red House
Other books by this author that I like are:
Dizzy, Indigo Blue, Driftwood, Sundae Girl and Lucky Star
