I'm Kathryn/Errol. I'm a 12 year old girl and I live in Tokyo, Japan although I'm British. My friend introduced me to the Cathy Cassidy books and all I can say is that they are just great! Each one of them is so unique, I just don't know where she gets the ideas from. I like all of the books equally, I couldn't say which one was my favourite!
Here's my review of the book
Indigo Blue
by Cathy Cassidy.
What this book is about:
Indigo's life is a mess as it is...she never knew her dad, the guy her mum first married left a few years ago and Max and her mum are always having rows. But at school there's always Jo, her loyal friend to cheer her up and take her mind off things. But one day her mum takes her home to a different place. She says she needs to get away from Max but Indigo doesn't quite understand. Stuck in a moldy old basement flat, Indigo takes a couple of days off school to help her mum get things straightened out in the house. What she didn't reckon on was that her friend Jo would go off with the new girl Aisha while she was off. Her used-to-be understanding and loyal friend turns her nose up at her damp old flat and it feels like Indigo is loosing everything. Worse, Max's car seems to be following her family around and Indigo suspects her mum is still calling Max. Will things ever get sorted out between her mum and Max and also Indigo and Jo?
What I think about this book:
This book is so real. It is written so well and descriptively, it feels like you're really there. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Jacqueline Wilson, or even it they don't.
Where I got this book from:
I ordered it from Red House
Other books by this author that I like are:
Dizzy, Driftwood, Scarlet, Sundae girl and Lucky Star. They're not a series though.
