I'm Silvia. I'm a 13 year old girl. I live in the U.S.A. I'm obsessed with comics (books, graphic novels and strips), I like sweet realistic fiction, and find the circus so majestic, which really makes this book great for me.
Here's my review of the book
Castle Waiting
by Linda Medley.
What this book is about:
This graphic novel is about a whole range of characters, and their varied personal stories. it is a Medieval Fantasy, with sprites, Faeries, dwarves, talking animals, and "BEARDED LADIES!!!" It is a collection of stories, all related, in one big volume. Some (or all) of these stories are also sold individually, in smaller graphic novels. Although it is fantastical, and takes place in a non-real world, the stories are not really your average fantasy adventure tales. They are, rather, realistic fiction tales. It is very sweet. Also, the drawing style is quite straightforward. It has a big focus on Circus life, randomly.
What I think about this book:
This book made me laugh a lot, which I always love. Both me and my dad loved it, and couldn't stop reading it until it was done. The introduction to it was also written by an author whom we both love, Jane Yolen. I really recommend it. It has something for everyone, with it's array of characters.
