What this book is about:
Anne of Green Gables is a series. It is about a girl named Anne Shirley. Her parents Walter and Bertha Shirley died of the flu and she has been out of homes since. When in one of the many homes the father died she was sent back to the orphanage and Marilla and Matthew asked for a boy, but they sent in Anne. Matthew liked Anne because she had a very imaginative mind and she talked a lot. They agreed to keep her. There are a lot of characters like Mrs Rachel Lynde a lady that gossips a lot. The setting is beautiful Avonlea and Anne lived in Green Gables a very neat farm. Gilbert Blythe is one of the students that like Anne. Anne has very red hair. And on a school day Anne was concentrating on her work and Gilbert pulled her hair calling her carrots and she got angry and smashed her slate on him. Diana Barry another character is Anne's best friend.
What I think about this book:
I think it is an imaginative book and L. M. Montgomery is a good writer. I love her books.
