Here's my review of the book
Al Capone Does My Shirts
by Gennifer Choldenko.
What this book is about:
Al Capone Does my Shirts is a book about a boy named Moose (or Matthew) who moves to Alcatraz, a prison where the worst of the worst crimanels go. His family has to move there that way his father can work there as a guard and a electrician and so his sister can go to a school for troubled kids. Moose does not in the least like his new home in Alcatraz. With his Dad who works all the time now, his Mom who doesn't care for him, and his sister who could spend all day just playing with beads and eating lemon cake, it's seems like Moose can't make any friends, or the right ones. And there is this strange criminal, Al Capone who every one is interested in. Moose just wants to live a normal life but that's not what life has in store for him on Alcatraz.
