Legacy of the Jedi

What this book is about:
Count Dooku is 13 years old and has just been taken as the Padawan of the renowned Jedi Master Thame Cerulian. His best friend is another apprentice called Lorian Nod. He has not yet been chosen as a Padawan and is a mischevious young boy. Then, Lorian does something dishonest; something that crushes their friendship forever and gets Lorian expelled from the Jedi Order.
13 years pass from that fateful day and Dooku is now a Master. His Padawan is the promising Qui-Gon Jinn. On a mission assigned from the Council, he encounters Lorian again. Lorian is now a pirating outcast. He made a living kidnapping Senate officials and when he thought that was getting too risky, he opened a factory that employs children. The factory is a disgrace. Children are hurt and the factory is an explosion factory. Dooku has his chance now to defeat this dangerous man. But before he can, Qui-Gon begs him not to and Dooku reluctantly lets Lorian escape.
32 years pass and now Qui-Gon is a Master and Obi-Wan Kenobi is his Padawan. His relationship is going badly with his Padawan. Then they encounter Lorian Nod yet again and are forced to let him escape yet again.
23 years pass and now Obi-Wan is the Master and his Padawan is young Anakin Skywalker. Lorian Nod comes to the Jedi Temple and begs for remorse, offering his help. Obi-Wan doesn't trust him in the slightest, but Yoda tells him to accompany Lorian to Null. And it is on Null that Lorian and Dooku meet again. For the last time...
What I think about this book:
I don't think that this is Jude Watson's best work but it's still very good.
