I'm Arya/Eowyn. Hi ya'll! What are your hopes for the next book? I think it's one of those books that no one really knows what will happen, especially since CF hasn't given us the slightest clue.
What do you think the movie will be like? Since i loved Eragon and was disappointed with the movie, from the previews it seems likely that the Inkheart movie will be a disappointment. Still, I may be wrong...
Message #61 Posted on Thursday, May 8, 2008
I'm Arya/Eowyn. Hi Kathryn! I think that the cover you have is ok(I've seen it before), but I just think that it's too...idk. I guess I like to have more on the cover, but not like it's really busy- just kinda like it is on these covers. LOL
Message #60 Posted on Monday, May 5, 2008
I'm Kathryn/Errol/Sunny Baudelaire. Hi! Arya, I have different covers from the ones on this page and personally I like these ones better, especially Inkheart, that's how I'd picture the actual cover of the book Inkheart in the story. On my cover of Inkheart the bottom section has a quote from the book pictured on burning paper. That part is cool but the rest of it is rather boring. You can see my cover at this page if you really want to... lol.

I'm Arya/Eowyn. This page needs a starter, Badly. So....What do you think of Inkheart, Inkspell, and inkdeath's covers? If you don't, what do you think could be improved about them? I personally like all three..I would like to see some faces, but oh well. The covers are fab all the same.

I'm Bluejay. To Rose: Visit this page - http://www.corneliafunke.de/en/contact/contact.html Sorry I don't have time to do a URL link. Anyways, just mail it to one of those addresses - the second one was the one I used. Good luck with the letter. And yes, you'll get something, because I did a few months ago.
Here is the Inkdeath summary:
The masterful conclusion to the epic, award-winning, bestselling INKHEART trilogy by internationally acclaimed author Cornelia Funke.
The Adderhead--his immortality bound in a book by Meggie's father, Mo--has ordered his henchmen to plunder the villages. The peasants' only defense is a band of outlaws led by the Bluejay--Mo's fictitious double, whose identity he has reluctantly adopted. But the Book of Immortality is unraveling, and the Adderhead again fears the White Women of Death. To bring the renegade Bluejay back to repair the book, the Adderhead kidnaps all the children in the kingdom, dooming them to slavery in his silver mines unless Mo surrends. First Dustfinger, now Mo: Can anyone save this cursed story?
cool summary, huh? I can't wait for the book. And also, visit my forum, where you can see exactly how many days and minutes and seconds are left until it comes out - http://www.phpbb88.com/inkheartfanatic/ !

I'm Infinity. To Cosimo, just google the orion awards and you will get to the sight. To Arya, I've read Circle of Magic but not Inheiritance. Thanks! Hi to Chelsea, Redneck and Rose. To Rose, sorry I don't know. Bluejay might though.
Message #52 Posted on Monday, April 7, 2008
I'm Arya/Eowyn. Hi Rose! If you want to address a letter to CF, then figure out The Chicken House (her publisher)'s address, and then write it like this:
Cornelia Funke c/o The Chicken House
(address).
If I'm unclear, then refer to the page that Alan has made addressing that specific thing.
Message #51 Posted on Sunday, April 6, 2008
I'm Rose. What is Cornelia Funkes address I am writing a letter to her
Message #50 Posted on Monday, March 24, 2008
I'm Arya. You're welcome, Infinity! Well, there's lots of books to pass the time, too. Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic and The Circle Opens quartets are good to pass time, if you don't mind a few adult themes. Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Inheritance are also great choices, and Orson Scott Card is a must (again, there's some mild language and I think some adult themes in the Ender series, which I've read.) Hi Chelsea! Me either! Hi Redneck! I think you must have pressed the enter key, which erases the rest of your message. Could you repeat the questions?
Message #49 Posted on Monday, March 24, 2008

I'm Infinity. I'm Infinity. Shoot. I hate waiting. Oh well. At least I have Artemis Fowl fanfiction to read while I wait. Thanks Arya.
Message #45 Posted on Friday, March 21, 2008
I'm Arya. Hey ya'll! What do you think CF will do in Inkdeath? Maybe it will be a rebuilding book-like repairing the civilization of the Inkworld, especially with all of Fenoglio's meddling.
Message #44 Posted on Monday, March 17, 2008
I'm Arya. Hi Infinity! If you look at the space above the messages on this page, you'll see that it's coming out January 30, 2009. Inkdeath comes out October 7 of this year.

I'm Arya. Kathryn, maybe you won't be able to see it in the theatre, but when it comes out on DVD you could order it.
Message #32 Posted on Saturday, February 16, 2008
I'm Bluejay. Inkdeath's coming out on April 7th. Check out Amazon.com/ca. It should come up.
Message #31 Posted on Friday, February 15, 2008
I'm Arya. ..I'm starting to get a bad habit of pressing the button before I am completely sure I'm done. I am so psyched for the movie! But I'm kind of wary- for those of you who love Eragon, the movie was cool, but it kind of sucked the way there were so many inaccuracies- ya know? Also, it seems that a book is almost always better than the movie- take it back, it's always better. Though the LOTR movies were really good- I was in no way disappointed in the movie when I read the Fellowship of the Ring!
Message #30 Posted on Friday, February 15, 2008
I'm Arya. ...isn't Inkdeath coming out in April? I know what you mean, Bluejay, it is a little frightening. But I don't think it's that, I think that he was just trying to protect himself and his family. Kathryn, don't worry- just order it off of Amazon.com!
Message #29 Posted on Friday, February 15, 2008
I'm Kathryn/Errol/Sunny Baudelaire. Hi! Sil and Bluejay, sorry, I meant the movie. I can buy the book online easily... the internet has some uses.
Kathryn

I'm Sil. Kathryn-you can probably buy it online.

I'm Bluejay. Hi Kathryn! Wow, you live in Japan? Don't worry about the book, 'cause it's gonna come out in Korea, it's not very well known here, either... But actually, a Korean translation of the Ink books came out, so maybe I'm wrong... Twenty-nine days till the movie comes out!
Message #26 Posted on Wednesday, February 13, 2008
I'm Kathryn/Errol. Hi! Noooo.... March, that'll mean it'll be something like August for Japan, or it might not come out at all in Japan because I don't think the books are known in Japan : (

I'm Bluejay. To Oromis: Go to the Memberlist of the forum (it's at the top of the page) and email 'Haladflire65'. I'll help you out with the joining if it doesn't work. Anyways, I think Inkdeath will really rock. It's scary how Mo's been reprogrammed into this... psycho killer guy. I think I'll love him even more in Inkdeath... It's coming out in... I think, fifty-three days! Hooray!
Message #24 Posted on Tuesday, February 12, 2008
I'm Arya. Lol, Bluejay! I think that's a good idea! Also, that's really interesting about how it's different in German and English. I wonder why it got changed... "blood" sounds better!
Message #23 Posted on Tuesday, February 12, 2008
I'm Oromis. Hi guys! I really can't see it being dark in my opinion. I suppose it depends on what you see as being "Dark". There'll probably be a lot of Deaths and stuff, injuries, but I think we can all handle that, and what else could there be really? I think there will be a battle with the white women. I also think that they will bargain will Mo/Roxane and they will kill Adder, and not Dustfinger, well, bring himmback or something. I also think that the barn owl will have a bigger role.Bluejay- I tried joining your site the other day but something happened?
Message #22 Posted on Monday, February 11, 2008
I'm Bluejay. Actually, it's "Heart Blood Death" if you refer to the German versions. And Inkspell is actually "Inkblood" - Tintenblut. The series is actually kinda dark and violent to be for 'ages 9 and up' as it says at the bookstore. Personally I prefer Inkdeath to Inkdawn. Just sounds better. I hope Mo's the one who kills the Adder... that would be awesome! Sorry for the random post.. hehe
Message #21 Posted on Monday, February 11, 2008
I'm Arya. Bluejay, *plot spoiler* if you'll recall, the Adder is only going to be immortal for a couple of weeks. Remember what Mo said about the book? And also, don't forget: CF's style has never been depressing. I highly doubt that this book will be.
Message #20 Posted on Monday, February 11, 2008
I'm Sil. To Bluejay: I know how depressing Inkspell was, and I guess I didn't really like that. I stopped reading it when *spoiler* Farid died, and then all my friends were talking about the end, but in whispers so it wouldn't give the plot away to me, so I stopped boycotting and read the end. But even the best of the best kill off major characters. *Anne of the Island spoiler* even Ruby Gillis in the Anne books, what some people (who obviously haven't read Rilla of Ingleside or all the way through Anne of the Island) would call light hearted fiction.
Message #19 Posted on Sunday, February 10, 2008
I'm Arya. Sil, in Inkspell *plot spoiler* she mentions the " Heart, Spell, Death" line, right? So maybe it just fit the storyline of the trilogy, or maybe she just felt that it fit the book better. For example, what about Farid having been brought back? Or the possibility of the same happening to Dustfinger? Or the hopeful (and likely) death of the Adder? Frankly, with those possible explanations, her original idea, Inkdawn, would have been better, I think. So I know what you mean, Sil, but I don't really agree.
Message #18 Posted on Sunday, February 10, 2008
I'm Bluejay. I think it's only appropriate that Inkdeath is depressing. I mean, look what happened to everyone in Inkspell. *spoilers* Farid dies, Dustfinger dies, Mo gets shot and is nearly executed, the Adder becomes immortal. *end spoilers* Naturally Inkdeath will be unpleasant, 'cause they're in an unpleasant situation, wouldn't you agree?
Message #17 Posted on Saturday, February 9, 2008
I'm Sil. I must say that I do not like darkness, and I especially wish that Miss Funke had not named her book Inkdeath. I mean, I'm not excepting her to call it Inkbubbles or anything, but could she had thought of something a little less depressing?
Message #16 Posted on Friday, February 8, 2008
I'm Bluejay. A random quote from Inkdeath Chapter Four: "...and Mo felt it again, just like he had on Mount Adder, before he killed Basta - a coldness of the blood, cold as the hoarfrost at his feet, and the only fear he felt was fear of himself." I love this quote. It's so... Dark. But awesome. Inkdeath is gonna rock!

Message #9 Posted on Thursday, January 3, 2008
I'm Farid+Meggie4ever. Hey Angela, yes, Inkdeath is out. But it's not written in English yet. It's only in German so far. I can't wait for it to come out!! There were some boys at my school today making fun of those books and calling them Inkfart and Inksmell. I got so mad at them. They haven't even read the books yet! They don't know what they're missing!
